I've had this little guy behind the scenes for the mer au for quite a while now, but some years into Eclipse and Ruin becoming official qpp's (far on ahead in the au's overall timeline) they would have a child together. Specifically Ruin as mers reproduce asexually (and only once during their lifetime) but if they are bonded to a mate, the child will be the partners too and even have a chance of inheriting their traits. Mer magic logic!

So this is Loon, or Moonfish as a fun little nickname me and some friends like to refer to him as! A very fiesty pancake pup. However initially due to Ruin's not so great physical health, his egg almost didn't make it but it managed to survive. A result of this however was Loon being born with a withered arm which Ruin had to nip off, and he has a weak jaw/crunchy vocals so later in life he won't be able to talk much and his voice would be quite raspy.

All this however and he came out of the egg very energetic and ready to jump and attack anything that moved. Neither Ruin or Eclipse knows where this energy comes from but they would be just glad their hatchling was (mostly) healthy and lively.

An idea I'd love to see is bingqiu time travel... But individually.

Shen Qingqiu dies in the city, travelling back to when he was first transmigrated via the system.

A few years later, luo binghe finds some artifact or mcguffin in his attempts to find a way to resurrect Sqq, and, with the chance of making it so Sqq never died in the first place, takes it.

And they both don't figure out the other also time travelled for ages.

have you 🫵 the reader of this tumblr post ever wondered, 'does connor bedard have a boybestfriend like the other first overall draft picks?' well he does and his name is kevin korchinski

Kevin Korchinski was drafted drafted 7th overall in 2022 from the Seattle Thunderbirds (WHL). But he currently plays in for the Rockford Icehogs in the AHL.

something to note: before the nhl Connor and Kevin already knew each other and had a friendship that dates back to wjc 2023 when they were both on team canada

in 2023-24 Kevin played for the Hawks, making his rookie debut with Connor and they both shared a rookie lap together [insta link]. and they went no bucket for the lap which isn't allowed so they both got fined. and the reason they both went helmetless is because their teammates were telling them not to saying that they only get one rookie lap [twitter link]

a small tidbit: during their rookie season these two along with some other young teammates (like wyatt kaiser, lukas reichel) were usually the last off the ice because they wanted to keep practicing.

Something else to note with the spin is that is has now become part of Connor's routine so when kevin isn't there connor bumps into the boards pushing himself spinning (who knew spinning could be so tragic?)

Just wanted to point out how interesting the choice of the directors has been here:

to shift the camera to very specific people when Lancelot makes his speech as to why he wants to serve Arthur as a knight in the episode, “The coming of Arthur” (season 3, episode 12).

When Lancelot says, “Justice” and, “Honour”, the camera immediately shifts to Arthur. That’s what the king stands for. That’s why Lancelot and Gwaine and everyone else, although sceptical, decides to serve their king. For these are his values:

Although Lancelot says that Arthur has thought him to fight for freedom, which is in part true, since he had shown him kindness and strength and mercy, even against the strongest enemy, the moment Lancelot says it, he turns to Merlin:

and the camera shifts to him:

Merlin looks at Lancelot with hope in his eyes, for he sees the future Arthur might bring, for he knows Lancelot understands what this might mean and bring for him and his people too, for those with magic, and Lancelot is more than happy to see it through, and help him along the way, and if that means to serve Arthur, for Merlin to be free, Lancelot is more than willing to accept.

They both know something the others don’t:

Lancelot is serving Merlin too, without saying it, simply because he can’t. To Lancelot, it was Merlin who thought him the value of freedom and courage: “You’re the one Arthur should knight. You’re the bravest of us all, and he doesn’t even know.”

But most importantly and heartbreaking at the same time, it’s the end. Lancelot says, “And all that’s good”,

and the camera shifts to Guinevere:

The choice of words is interesting.

Guinevere is, “all that’s good”. If her and Lancelot has to be like Arthur and Merlin, then they really are, “two sides of the same coin”.

Guinevere is the one who reminded Lancelot to fight, to live better, because he deserves it, because he’s a good man, because he loves her like no one ever did. He was there for Guinevere since the first moment. But it’s also not only referred to Lancelot, isn’t it? After all, Guinevere is more than an attachment to another character.

Once again, Guinevere is all that’s good.

Gwen is what remains of Camelot’s growth.

She is the daughter of a Blacksmith.

She is not only vital for the city, but she was thought to be patient, kind, generous and to be helpful towards those in need. She helped Camelot’s citizens during the siege with Morgana by sharing food that she didn’t have, and she never asked for any later.

She forgave Arthur’s sins and mistakes, although that would have meant a life of perpetual loneliness and worry towards those she loved.

She could have betrayed Arthur and Camelot in a second, if it meant she would have lived, but she had preferred to lose her friend and to stand for what was right.

She fought for Camelot, for her friends, with a sword, with her words, against Agravaine, and even Uther. She never backed down, and by doing so, she was able to help her father, her brother.

Merlin’s loyalty is admirable, but so is Gwen’s.

She is, and always will be, “all that’s good.”

And Lancelot is ready to serve Camelot’s queen, even if he may not be her king. He loved her enough to be able to do that, they respected each other, and that was all they needed.

Lancelot is such a brilliant character.

Not only he shows what he stands for each episode he’s in, but he brings with him everything that he learned in the past episodes too.

I must admit that among each character in the show, Merlin and Arthur included, Lancelot is perhaps the most constant one.

He knows what his values are, and he knows who he has to thank for them.

And it’s bittersweet to know that he died too soon, that he wasn’t able to see, even if small, the actual change Arthur brought to his reign, that he couldn’t be there for Guinevere as a friend when she felt lonely as a queen, to help Merlin with his destiny when he felt hopeless thinking everything he had helped Arthur build may have fallen.

The directors knew what they were doing, and this is one of the many reasons this show attracts me completely.

It may be wrong under so many aspects, but the way the choices for the camera movements, the little facial features, along the dialogues were made, are such an important part of BBC Merlin that makes this TV show stand out amongst the rest, and it has to be appreciated.

This one was sold as part of the Graham Geddes collection at Bonham’s auction house in 2008 for £2,040.

They describe it as ‘three fish including a wrasse with dorsal spines, an angler-fish, the rounded body with multiple black dots, two large round eyes with pupils, an open mouth with teeth bared, and a ray with pointed face, the body with multiple black dots’.

Which like… bold fucking move missing out the fact that they have legs. Though I can’t say I envy whoever had to write the description.

Oh my i just woke up a seconds ago and cant think but i just had a dream with the sickest fic idea.

So platonic soulmates/beauty and the beast au where bruce has to get robin!dick to love him (platonically) back or else he will die. The catch is that he doesnt know that actually robin is the one who will die, not him.

Ive been reading quite a few bad parent bruce wayne/abusive parent bruce wayne so so while bruce does love dick, bruce fails to make dick truly love him back (which he thought he did, but because of that abuse, while dick did love bruce, he still feared him and subconciously couldn't love him fully. It was more an actual stockholm syndrome kind of thing) So robin!dick dies instead.

That's about where my dream ended

Im not sure is the servants turned into furniture thing was in my dream at all, but alfred was there and there were like, a few of the titans and while not pottery, and while they didnt also die when robin did, they still grieve him

Bruce finds dick in the circus and takes him in as a hope that dick will be the one to break his curse, sure that dick can be it because they have the same story

(I dont think bruce turned into an actual beast in my dream but idk, you could have him stuck as batman or something)
